Sony leaves the group, while Dell's commitment is resized after the recent surrender of two founding members such as Microsoft and NVIDIA, there seems no respite for the PC Gaming Alliance, which today sees the release of Sony and a reduction of involvement Dell. It goes from being a "promoter" to the "contributor", leaving only Capcom and Epic Games to fill the role of promoters.
Curiously, to date only Activision has provided reasons for their defection, saying it did not have the budget to remain as an active member. Matt Ployhar, new leader of the PC Gaming Alliance, has recently announced that the group will in future not to limit the publication of reports, but to tell the story of PC gaming and all its facets.
