Pitchford explains to the press late Duke Nukem Forever

May I know you do not talk to the press after releasing the movie with the announcement of the delay, Randy Pitchford, Gearbox's CEO, explained that when they announced the launch date of Duke Nukem Forever, were convinced that it would definitely set in May. He explained that in fact the game could be ready by that date, but who were unwilling to take risks because, after many delays, do not want to disappoint fans who expect the game for twelve years.

In short, the further delay only serves to adjust some details. For those not familiar yet, the new launch date has been set for June 14 in the U.S. and June 10 in the rest of the world. Source: VG247 Duke Nukem Forever - The announcement of the delay
