New chapter for Sega's Shining series

Coming Tsuyoshi Sawada Famitsu, Sega has announced that a new chapter in the Shining series is currently in development and in an advanced state of completion. It's been 10 years since the last chapter, noted Sawada, and the new game should be a summation of the series and meet the needs and curiosity of the fans.

The goal was to work on a product for a broad-based and "do something that had never been done before in the series," says Sawada. "I can not report details yet, but I would not wait long to reveal it in the near future," he said in Famitsu, so expect news from Sega. The first chapter came in 1991 on the Megadrive and since then it has 28 chapters in total, with the last in order of time represented by Shining Force EXA on PlayStation 2 released in 2007.
