The publisher THQ has signed a multiyear agreement with Games Workshop, Warhammer 40,000 brand owner, to publish new games belonging to the franchise and dedicated to different platforms, including social networks and mobile devices. In the statement of the publisher is also talk of the results of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, a series that has sold 6.5 million copies around the world.
"The complex, futuristic and torn universe created by Games Workshop has provided the development team at THQ material to create one of the most popular PC franchise, or Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War," said the CEO of THQ, Brian Farrell. "We will continue to expand the universe of Warhammer 40,000 with quality games for all platforms, and soon we will launch Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online.
Space Marines will arrive on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the third quarter of 2011, while the Millennium Online MMO Dark does not have a launch date.
