SEGA has requested removal from the web of a remake of Streets of Rage made by some fans. As reported by Gamasutra, the developer Bomber Games has launched as a free download on the result of eight years of work: 103 levels, 19 playable characters, 64 enemies, 83 songs, 40 movies and eight different endings.
It also presents the Survival Mode, Boss Rush Mode, Mode Events, Volleyball Mode, Allied CPU Mode, Profile Editor, Image Gallery, and a host of customization options. "SEGA has contacted us for download on this site," wrote a moderator on the forum Bomber Games. "Pending a solution we ask you not to upload the game." According to Kotaku to a spokeswoman for Sega, the publisher "wants to support the fans who are interested in the Games, SEGA, and when we can try to involve them in testing and other opportunities related to the development, research and marketing ".
"However we must protect our intellectual property and for this we are forced to ask for the removal of images, movies and sometimes even games."
