Iwata apologizes to those who bought the 3DS

The Nintendo president Satoru Iwata personally asked forgiveness from all those who bought the 3DS before the recent price reduction. In a statement published on the Japanese Nintendo site (translated by Giantbomb), Iwata said that this is absolutely the first time that such a thing happens in his company.

"" I apologize to everyone but the price reduction we made was necessary to Because of a drastic change of market situation than when we launched the 3DS six months ago. "" We made this decision to create a better climate of confidence around the unit and to allow developers and retailers to believe and invest in future this machine.

"at least in part to reward those who had already bought a 3DS, Nintendo has created the Ambassador Program that will allow free downloads of 10 NES games and 10 GBA games on the new handheld console.
