Final Fantasy XIII-2 darker than X-2

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will have the darkest shades of Final Fantasy X-2, the last true sequel in the saga of Final Fantasy, as stated by Square Enix in the magazine Dengeki Japan (via Siliconera). Final Fantasy X-2, published about two years after FFX on the PS2, then narrated the adventures of Yuna, Rikku and Paine by adopting a more targeted approach to the style of action-adventure game.

According to the findings from the first information about XIII-2, the sequel to Final Fantasy XIII will remain faithful to the date of the combat system of the Square Enix role-playing game released last year in Europe on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The publisher promises, however, some changes in terms of gameplay, and announces the presence of the Goddess Etro, the central figure in the new adventures of Lightning.

The Easy mode implemented in Final Fantasy XIII International Ultimate Hits could be used for this sequel whose design will take into account feedback from players of Final Fantasy XIII, Square Enix has announced. The role-playing game will arrive in Europe this winter in sizes PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
