Nomura: forget about FF Versus XIII

Bad news for those anxiously awaiting news about the mysterious Final Fantasy Versus XIII. A door was none other than Tetsuya Nomura, who has made it clear that the game will be released in 2011. In an interview with Dengeki PlayStation magazine (translated by Andriasang), Nomura has stated that the project will almost certainly after Type-0 and XIII-2 because it is currently "Square Enix has undertaken many different projects." Since both games I just mentioned should come out later this year, Versus XIII is therefore intended to see the light at least in 2012.

More news, Nomura said, will be given at the next E3. This mysterious action-RPG was announced as early as 2006, in conjunction with Final Fantasy XIII. The hero, a prince named Noctis Lucis Caelum, is equipped with a power that only the royal family owns. The information on the game more or less stop here, but we know that the combat system (always a party formed by turns with a maximum of 3 characters) will use magic, summon and special abilities called EX-ARTS.
