In a message posted on Twitter, Johan Andersson of DICE has announced that it will not be able to play Battlefield 3 with Windows XP operating systems. "The Frostbite 2 is developed mainly for DirectX 11. DX9 and Windows XP are not supported, also recommend a 64-bit operating system." The new battlefield will be available on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the second half of 2011.
