A new beginning for the series? Namco Bandai announced the release of a new episode of the series multiplatform Ridge Racer, Ridge Racer, which will be called unbounded. Carlson Choi, vice-president of marketing at Namco Bandai, describes the game as "very different from the Ridge Racer we all know." The launch trailer, which we describe below, shows the historic character of the series, Reiko, getting into a car and then start to skyrocket, collision with another vehicle and causing a spectacular crash before disappearing into thin air.
Ridge Racer Unbound will be developed by Bugbear Entertainment, known for having built the FlatOut series. We can therefore expect a dedicated approach to race collision? The release is scheduled in 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Source: Joystiq
