DICE talks about Battlefield 3

Battlefield 3 will include a 3D tracking system, confirmed the developer DICE. By means of 3D localization, players can signal their comrades the location of an enemy. Once spotted, the enemy will appear on the screen with a red triangle on the head and other details will be posted on the mini-map. The senior gameplay designer of Battlefield 3, Alan Kertz, confirmed the mechanics on Twitter.

"The 2D location is the least," said Kertz. "I want to form a complete 3D localization, balanced and usable by all members of a team." Kertz said that in Battlefield 3 will not be possible to use a technique called 'the dive of the Dolphin'. Or, you can not assume a prone position while you are performing a jump.

In the new DICE FPS has an active friendly fire, while from the standpoint of the system will calculate the ballistic trajectory of the bullet will be "deeper" than that of Bad Company 2, ensures Kertz. The developer has also confirmed the presence in Tehran between the environments of the game, along with Paris and New York.

The objective of DICE and Electronic Arts, Battlefield 3 is pretty clear: Overcoming Call of Duty. "You shall not kill COD trying to become equal to COD. It kills COD doing a better shooter," said Kertz.
