According to Sony, the stereoscopic 3D is perfect for racing games, Codemasters but for the benefits of technology are extremely limited and in some cases, a 3D game can get even cause health problems. "In a game like ours the 3D is not useful as a Motorstorm, where the landscape is constantly changing," said the chief game designer Paul Coleman. "With DiRT 3, prolonged gaming sessions can cause nausea." On the same line as the director of the next game MotorStorm, Matt Southern, whereby the 3D makes racing games more intuitive. However, at present does not pose a stereoscopic 3D Codemasters among the priorities of the company. In future, however, the technology could be explored more thoroughly by the authors of DiRT 3: "We are aware of the potential of 3D," says Coleman, "no doubt we will be working on, we would like to implement it in our games but first we must remove this annoying tunnel effect.
