Sony launched the PlayStation Network Gamers' Choice Awards, a contest asking gamers to vote for their favorite games by choosing from a list of titles for the PlayStation 3 and PSP downloadable from the PSN. Between February 22 and March 1st, subscribers to the PlayStation Network will be able to vote in a number of different categories by downloading a free theme for the XMB corresponding to the selected game.
After the close of voting, the winners of various categories will be sold at a discount of 30% for PSN users, 50% for subscribers to PlayStation Plus Winners will be announced March 7 on the PlayStation Blog. Currently, the contest was announced only for the U.S. PSN but it is possible that in the next few hours Sony ads similar initiative for the Old Continent.
