Sony Online Entertainment has confirmed rumors of the past few hours and said that the development of MMO The Agency has been canceled. "As part of a strategic decision aimed at containing costs and optimize the distribution of the global workforce, SOE announced today the dismissal of 205 employees and closing of the studies in Denver, Seattle and Tucson studios," reads a statement given Videogame to Source.

According to SOE, players have passed 20 million on the company's servers over the past 12 months.
