Move in Japan beats Kinect

In Japan, the device for the PlayStation 3, the Move, is ahead of Kinect, the camera for the Xbox 360. As reported by Andriasang (via Edge) at the end of 2010 Kinect had reached 90,000 units in Japan, while PlayStation Move had exceeded the ceiling of 170,000 units. However, the best-selling device in Japan last year was Torne, DVR to PlayStation 3 with 784,000 units sold.

In the rest of the world, the results were different, with the device in Microsoft Move ahead. Despite this, GameStop has recently spoken of the strong consumer interest in relation to the motion controller for the PlayStation 3.
