The latest issue of Game Informer magazine has posted a preview (via NeoGAF) Mass Effect 3, the final chapter of the trilogy of BioWare. At the beginning of the game, Shepard is on the Earth and will have to deal with an invasion of Reapers. Those who do not will have their rescue of the two previous chapters can use interactive cartoon similar to that established with the PlayStation 3 version of Mass Effect 2.
Among the characters mentioned are given as party members Liara, Ashley or Kaiden, Garrus and James Sanders, while other characters like Wrex, Mordini Legion and Anderson will be in the game but not necessarily as members of the team led by Shepard. Also important is the role of the mysterious man at the center of the conflict that threatened the organization sees Shepard Cerberus.
In terms of gameplay, the mechanics RPG should be more severe than those of Mass Effect 2, the weapons should use the clip again but may be modified through a series of upgrades. Will also be granted greater freedom to the player in the development of the characters. All classes may use any type of weapon, but slots are limited.
Only the soldier can have access simultaneously to all weapons. Mass Effect 3 will also propose a number of different endings, but the multiplayer was not implemented by BioWare, which plans to exploit the multi in a future project related to the franchise. Mass Effect 3 will be available by the end of 2011 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
