The group of hackers known as Anonymous has been categorically denied being responsible for the theft of credit cards registered on the PlayStation Network. "If it was conduct a thorough investigation and honest, we find that we are absolutely not the culprits," reads a statement sent to VentureBeat site.
"Our group does not, and even less forgiving of such acts. What we want is to denounce the abuses of power, to discover the trade 'hidden' the big companies, not to violate people's privacy to our advantage." These statements were made in response to what was said yesterday by Kaz Hirai.
PlayStation boss had made it clear that Anonymous was right at the base of identity theft and credit cards from PSN. The group does not deny the attack on the PlayStation Network, online since April 20 now, but rejects any implication in the rest.
