Sony accused of Anonymous have had a role in the attack suffered by the PlayStation Network. The news was given by the boss of Sony Computer Entertainment, Kaz Hirai, in a letter sent by the company to Japan's House of Representatives of the United States. "We discovered that the intruders who have established a file on the server of Sony Online Entertainment's name was Anonymous and bore the words 'We are Legion'," reports Patrick Seybold on the PlayStation Blog.
"Anonymous this time is not involved in the attack to the NDP," declared a spokesman for hackers last month. "Hitting the PSN is not a good idea. We have suspended our action, we do not want to damage the users of Sony," he said Anonymous. Hirai has confirmed that there were no reports of illegal use of credit cards.
But when he comes back operating the PlayStation Network? "We are working to restore some services the PlayStation Network, will provide more details soon," says Seybold.
