The CEO of Electronic Arts, John Riccitiello, reiterated to shareholders with the aim of the publisher's new Battlefield: Overcoming Call of Duty. "We know we have a major rival," said Riccitiello. "But for the heads up in Q3 we will have a superior engine, a higher education, in short, a top game. Our goal is to gain share in the segment of FPS Call of Duty to put on the defensive." According to Riccitiello, Battlefield 3 bookings were up +700% "compared with those recorded during the same period for Battlefield: Bad Company 2." "Many people say they want to play this way since day one." Activision has not announced the new chapter of Call of Duty series.
