According to some rumors, Sony is preparing to announce (and hopefully show) PSP2 officially on 27 January. VG247 MCV and say that the company is about to present the successor to the PlayStation Portable during an event to be held in Tokyo on that date. The console should then arrive in stores by the end of 2011, according to VG247, and according to statements by some developers would ensure a level of graphics performance similar to those of the first PlayStation 3 games.
