Sony is moving legal action against hackers

The iron fist recent anthology of hacker initiatives on the PlayStation 3 was quick to Sony to move from its initial position of "investigation" on the issue. According to a document submitted to the Northern Californian District Court by SCEA, Sony has accused George Hots (GeoHot), Hector Martin Cantero & Sven Peter (fail0verflow), and 100 "does", or unnamed defendants "had" infringed on actual measures of protection technology deployed by SCEA to protect against unauthorized access and / or carrying out illegal copies of products related to PlayStation 3 and other copyrighted works.

" More precisely, it is mentioned the direct attack on the system through "Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm Keys, encryption and / or decryption keys, dePKG firmware decrypter program, Signing Tools, 3.55 Firmware Jailbreak" and various other systems for unauthorized access to software system.

All this goes against the famous Digital Millennium Copyright Act according to the prosecution, in addition to contravening the various contracts and copyright laws. However, this is rather complicated legal issues, we look forward to any developments.
