Activision Blizzard, and other important development and distribution companies have been fined by the European Court of Justice for having unjustifiably raised prices of consoles and games between 1991 and 1998. Activision Blizzard is actually only marginally involved through its subsidiary, The CD-Contact Data, and must pay a fine of "only" 1 million, little stuff to a publisher of this size.
Nintendo is also involved in speech and a number of distributors spread throughout the European territory: John Menzies (UK) Concentra (Portugal), Linea GIG (Italy); Bergsala (Sweden), Itochu (Greece) Nortec (Greece). The total fine that these seven companies will have to pay is much saltier: 167 million.
