LG won the first round: PlayStation 3 blocked in Europe

10 days in a warehouse while ago we reported a legal battle going on between LG and Sony, due to some alleged infringements on patents. Game with an attack carried out by Sony, has developed a direct response by LG that has required nothing less than the withdrawal of the PS3 on the market due to a series of patents related to the Blu-ray, according to the Korean producer Sony would have broken in the construction of the PlayStation 3.

According to the Guardian, something would be happening: having accepted the request made by LG in a preliminary stage of the case, customs officials in The Hague following a court order of civil justice would have blocked a major local PS3 stocks (tens of thousands, apparently) in some stores, preventing their arrival in stores for at least 10 days.

This is a problem of no small importance to Sony, which relies on a range of a couple of weeks in that general retailers' warehouses, but can not afford to block shipments of long console. The Japanese manufacturer can still answer in court on the patent issue as soon as possible and could break the deadlock but at the moment there is no information about the defensive strategies of Sony.
