Splash Damage cautious on Brink 2

When it was announced Brink, Splash Damage made it clear he wants to create more chapters now belonging to the franchise, but as we approach the debut of the first game, the developer seems to have taken a more cautious attitude. "At the moment we are focused only on the Brink, we want to make to make a quality game," said a source Videogame Splash Damage CEO Paul Wedgwood.

"At the moment we can only speak of a Brink." It ended just two beta on the PlayStation 3 in the coming weeks and the developer will submit the game to Microsoft and Sony. Splash Damage, however, could launch a public beta in the coming weeks. "At the moment we have nothing to announce about it," just says Wedgwood.

On the PC, Brink will offer dedicated servers and console connections, the company will use peer-to-peer, sufficient to achieve "the performance we need." "The players usually are not experts on the console of the firewall settings, we use a protocol that allows us to determine which is the player with the best connection to use as a server." Brink is based on a modified version of id Tech 4.

"If we start now, you probably use the id Tech 5. The game will have similar performance on all platforms, they also know developers who refuse to provide information about DLC, beta, demo, and so on. "At the moment we can not say anything."
