Capcom said they did not want to overlook Western consumers and has made it clear that Monster Hunter Portable could get 3rd in Europe and the United States. "All I can say is that for fans of Western Hunter Monsetr the future will be bright, but there was a gap in time between the launch of Freedom of Assembly and the Portable 2nd, and so could happen again this time," said Christian Svensson of Capcom.
"I can not tell you that our strategies take shape but have no fear: they will reach major breakthroughs in the future." In Japan the last game of the series was published by Capcom for PSP Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, while the last chapter to land in the West was Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii.
