Nintendo has sold 1.08 million copies a day of Pokemon Black and White in the United States. This is a record for the Pokémon series, which had reached 780,000 in 2007 to debut with Pokémon Diamond / Pearl. "These results clearly indicate the strength of the Nintendo DS family of systems," said Charlie Scibetta, Nintendo.
"The DS has become the best selling console ever in this market, and a catchment area of 47 million consoles makes it the platform of choice for developers who want to reach a large number of players." Pokémon Pokémon Black and White has sold over five million copies in Japan since the launch of the games at home last September.
