Sony has announced the cancellation of a number of products until recently in development at the British first-party developers. To be affected were the London studios of Sony, Sony Liverpool and Evolution. "The production of a small number of reliable products at Sony London, Liverpool and Evolution Studios will be streamlined or terminated following a reorganization of the company's portfolio," says the official statement from Sony.
"The decision was taken after a thorough internal analysis of all products currently in development, the desire to relocate the company's resources on the most important projects of the same so that their development can proceed in the best way" . Despite such statements, however, Sony has stressed that its British studios will continue to play a key role in the life of the company.
