According to internal data from Nintendo, the two Nintendo DS games Pokémon Pokémon Black and White (Pokémon Pokémon Black and White in Italian) have sold a million copies in Europe alone Deich days. As reported in the press release from Nintendo, the two games "have destroyed any previous record sales of Pokémon titles in Italy: more than 80,000 copies sold in our country in the first three days since launch (Gfk data).
Altogether, the series in Europe has exceeded 35 million games sold. "In Italy, the phenomenon of Pokémon has always been very strong but with the launch of Pokémon Pokémon Black and White has been broken all sales records. In the first three days of launching the two titles have reached over 80,000 copies sold," says Director General Nintendo Italy, Andrea Persegati.
"With Pokemon Black and White we are facing a new generation of Pokémon, which have all the characteristics to attract not only the children of today but also those of yesterday, raised the first versions of pocket monsters."
