David Jaffe against the CEO of Nintendo

The boss of Eat Sleep Play, David Jaffe, has criticized the ostracism of the President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, in respect of the casual games industry and low cost typical Social App Store model. "The truth is that the fun has a price," said the creator of God of War in Videogame Source. "No matter the price: 99 cents, $ 150, $ 1000 spent on years of subscription to an MMO.

Fun is fun, for me it is absurd to circumscribe some of the ingredients and select Delete." At the last GDC, Nintendo's CEO had called a danger to the fashion industry of the games at low cost. "Everybody thinks, 'Jaffe Nintendo attacks', but it is not. I was present at GDC a few years ago when Iwata spoke of the upheaval in the market.

While Sony and Microsoft fighting for leadership in high definition, Nintendo had been successful introduction an innovation in the market. Iwata now is criticizing exactly that kind of attitude. " According to Jaffe, the importance of Apple in the landscape of video games could increase due to the distribution of video games on Apple TV.

However, Eat Sleep Play currently has an agreement with Sony for the PlayStation exclusive "publication in three games:" I am a fanboy of good games, "says Jaffe. "I am excited to NGP, but of course Apple is now one of the industry players. We should respect and take into account this fact.
