AMD HD6990, the 2-headed monster

Days ago, AMD showed the press his new video card, the Radeon HD 6990. This is a two-headed monster, literally because of his great power and its 2 cores. This card in the future replace the HD 5970 in the title of top model. He should have come to light late last year, but for some reason moved to March 2011.

A recent presentation held by the vice president of AMD, Matt Skinner, everything was dry, because no details were required in any presentation but as there is always speculation. That is why information on HD 6990 is still very small: some speculate about its characteristics based on the information provided above, others are trying to do something with the spy shots.

Presumably, it has 3840 stream processors and 4 GB of GDDR5 memory with a frequency of 4800 Mhz. The data that are accurate are the 6-pin connectors and 8-pin, DVI, and four DisplayPorts Mini. The cooling system uses a high evaporation chamber and dual-slot cooler with a fan. The price of the Radeon HD 6990 so far is silent.

More likely is that the bar should not exceed five hundred dollars.
