Nintendo is not afraid NGP

Nintendo is not worried by the announcement of the new handheld console from Sony because the Next Generation Portable 3DS and come to different categories of users. This was stated by the CEO of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, during a briefing with shareholders during which they discussed the new handheld console from Sony (via Andriasang).

"They're trying to address the consumer using a perspective different from ours. Consumers will establish the right perspective," said Iwata. NGP and 3DS are two main gaming devices, unlike hybrids like the iPhone and Android, the Nintendo console, however, focused on innovation of 3D without glasses, and NGP Sony emphasizes the processing power of the device.

It must be said, however, that the console Sony is also tough in terms of interaction, because it combines three different control systems. A Iwata was also asked what strategies it intends to develop a device to counter Nintendo apparently aimed at hardcore gamers. "Nintendo is a company that is committed to counter rivals' products," he answered the direct question.

According to Iwata, the reservations of 3DS "progressing well" but the boss of Nintendo has stressed the importance of continuity over time as sales are concerned.
