Despite forecasts that Microsoft has recently announced an initiative to make the service available to all Xbox Live Gold, free of charge, for a weekend has been officially canceled. The announcement came directly from Twitter Graeme Boyd, Community Manager for Xbox Europe. The reasons for this change of heart has not been disclosed, but Microsoft nevertheless stressed that the initiative will be canceled only in some European countries, players residing in Russia, Poland, Greece, South Africa, Czech Republic and Hungary, it will not be any change in plans, and so, apparently, is called for the American audience.
"I was told that very soon will announce a new free weekend, but at the moment I have nothing to provide even an approximate date," he added with a further Tweet Boyd.
