MW2 targeted by hackers

Robert Bowling of Infinity Ward talked about security issues PlayStation 3 forum on the company in connection with the attacks of hackers Modern Warfare 2. "Sony has recently admitted that because of the security breach of PlayStation 3 games could be vulnerable to hacker attacks. Modern Warfare 2 is no exception and we know that some of you have already had problems with statistics or other." A player, for example, claims to have lost all the progress achieved in the game and log-in to be greeted by a series of gratuitous insults.

According to Bowling, however, the problem can be solved only by Sony. "The security of the games depends on the platform on which to run, patches for games they can not solve problems unless action is taken directly on the platform. Unfortunately, because of their popularity, the games have been Call of Duty targeted by hackers.

However, the number of honest players greatly exceeds the amount of bad apples. " For the moment, Bowling advisable to play only with their friends: "Are you afraid of hackers, only play in a party or private parties in Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare and 2 to prevent players you do not trust, this at least until Sony will not solve the problem.

At the moment we do not have the ability to update your stats. " In future, however, Infinity Ward hopes to be able to block completely independently of hacker attacks: "We are considering all options to help players affected by these problems. In the future we will try to prevent hackers from accessing our games , as it has done with Treyarch Black Ops.
