Activision's DJ Hero canceled, no Tony Hawk this year

Cuts still continue, starting from the financial data Activision Blizzard, you get somewhat alarming information regarding the projects inside the publisher, which in the conference for shareholders seems to have decided to use the ax to cut production costs, taking both games developers. DJ Hero, as expected at this point, it should be in the attic like Guitar Hero in the new policy of elimination of music games obviously no room for a new mortgage of DJs, the choice before or since then due to the continued decline in popularity of rhythm game of this type.

Even Tony Hawk will undergo a stop, at least for 2011. It is unclear whether there is indeed a future for the historic series of skateboard Activision because this has been less drastic in the press, but certainly this year there will be no new chapters. As a result of these choices, the publisher, as reported by Eurogamer.

net, apparently intends to cut staff by Freestyle Games and Vicarious Visions for a total of 500 employees to "let go", but expect any confirmation on this.
