Activision Guitar Hero series has frozen and fired several employees by Freestyle Games, developer of DJ Hero, and Vicarious Visions, the authors of the Wii version of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. True Crime also deleted the new development in the offices of United Front. In December of last year, the CEO of Activision Publishing Eric Hirshberg spoke of the decline of the genre: "It is not just Guitar Hero, but also Rock Band music games no longer have the charm of a couple of years ago.
