Obsidian talks about the development of Dungeon Siege III

The PC version as a reference, the stability problems, and more Rich Taylor, project director of Dungeon Siege III, told Eurogamer that the microphones of the PC version of the game will be the reference, and that the current priorities of the development team regarding the elimination of bugs and blocks.

"Some elements of the project will be PC-centric," said Taylor, "especially in terms of controls. The players expect to click on the scene because the character moves accordingly, and to click on enemies to start a fight. For sure things will go this way. We must also add that the PC version of the game will boast a higher resolution and texture in a general compartment of the best visual impact.

" The last title of Obsidian, Fallout: New Vegas, has received much criticism because of the instability and the presence of numerous bugs. The study is trying to avoid repeating the same mistakes. "The stability of the game and the absence of bugs are our top priorities, we talk constantly," said Taylor.

He added: "Here at Obsidian have an advantage: if there is doubt about a particular sequence, just take ten steps and go talk to the programmer who wrote it." The engine owner of Obsidian, Onyx, has allowed the team to simultaneously develop Dungeon Siege III on all platforms, reducing the specific problems that may pop out at the last minute.

The developers have also implemented a robust error detection. "We have invested a certain amount of time in creating a system of error detection, so now every time the game crashes report is generated, the dump is inserted into a database and therefore we should be aware of the problems that have tested to solve, "said the project director.

"Nobody wants a game blocks. We are the first of the gamers, for that matter. When a block and maybe you lose your progress in the game is not fun for anybody. We understand. That's why personally I am very careful to ' identification and resolution of these issues. " Source: VG247
