Activision has announced triumphantly that Call of Duty: Black Ops has become the best selling game ever on PlayStation 3. The data were obtained from the NPD charts, Charttrack and GfK, but the publisher would not reveal the "numbers" of the record. Black Ops has wrought many famous names such as Gran Turismo 5 (6.37 million copies sold), Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (5.2), Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (4.75) and Uncharted 2 (3.8).
