Call of Juarez: The Cartel - Modern but with the spirit of the West

Besides, from 800 until today has not changed much Techland developers continue to insist on the nature of western Call of Juarez: The Cartel, despite the modern setting of the title. And above all, continue to insist on violence as real men embodied by the title, despite the controversy surrounding the Mexican political sphere that is inappropriate to include in a video game backgrounds like Juarez.

The Mexican citizen is in fact one of the capitals of the drug and is considered the most dangerous city in the world with a death toll comparable to that of a war. Well second Techland is still the old west. Places that have not changed and where the good guys fighting bad today as yesterday.

The outlaws are still there and live in a world of violence and lawlessness. Obviously today to fight the bad guys are no longer men but sheriffs as police veteran Ray McCall, Eddie Guerra as the DEA or FBI as Kim Evans. And these three men can cooperate through 16 missions to fight the drug cartel.

In short, the vision of children Techland is clear, but the west compared to the fictional Mexican real situation is rather forced, even without considering any moral issue. Obviously we are sure that Call of Juarez: The Cartel will be fictionalized and that somehow the atmosphere of the recall, even in western environments today.

On the other hand have already done hundreds of film but without claiming to depict the reality.
