Dark Souls, announced the Beacon Fires

Unlike Demon's Souls, Souls Drak will not be present in different levels, and players who die can regenerate in the Beacon Fires. According to the developers, the Beacon Fires are checkpoints scattered around the game universe from which you can return to games after a game over. The Beacon Fires will also enable other players to join your game and will help restore the energy lost by the protagonist.

Developed by From Software, the spiritual heir of the exclusive PlayStation 3 Demon's Souls will arrive by the end of 2011 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
