Mike Kulas, Volition's founder, left after 18 years the study of THQ, as reported by GamesIndustry. Kulas had started working in 1993 at Parallax Software. In 1996, the study divides and Kulas based Volition, acquired in 1998 by THQ, the publisher who has developed several titles including games franchise belonging to the Red Faction and Saints Row.
Kulas said he had voluntarily left the company. In its place, THQ has appointed Dan Cermak, the current VP of Product Development. Volition is currently working on The Third Saints Row, Red Faction: Armageddon, and the horror trilogy directed by Guillermo del Toro, insane.
