Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has confirmed that it had ceased production of PSPgo. According to the web portal Phileweb Japanese (translation Andriasang) the Japanese company will not send any new stocks of consoles to retailers, while on the official Japanese PlayStation site the PSPgo can no longer be ordered online.
The confirmation comes in the wake of rumors that emerged in the past few hours. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has however said in a statement that the company "will continue to meet the demand for current generation PSP" after pointing out that NGP will debut later this year. "
