Team Bondi has revealed that the upcoming LA Noire was originally planned on six discs for the Xbox 360. The reconstruction of the Los Angeles of the '40s game seems to be the greatest map ever made for a Rockstar title and Development has requested the beauty of 21 hours of motion capture. "We have always considered stupid ambitious," said writer-director of LA Noire Brendan McNamara during a recent interview.
"In the end we managed to reach the targets we set ourselves, including that put the entire game 'only' three discs for the 360 version." But how it was possible to insert the material of 5 or 6-disc in half the space? McNamara holds the answer in two words: compression miraculous. In fact, as we all know, the starting material was then cut from the final frame, but Team Bondi is considering retrieve it and release it as DLC later.
