The series will have a very different fate from that of Guitar Hero Greg LoPiccolo, vice president of product development for Harmonix, said that it will continue to provide all necessary support to the Rock Band series, in spite of what happened instead to the rival Guitar Hero at home Activision. "We believe that the Rock Band franchise still has a lot to say," he said speaking on IndustryGamers.
"For sure we will remain committed to that effect. In addition to Rock Band, however, we would like to create games that can bring unprecedented musical experience, to inspire people as well as entertain." With regard to the loss of popularity of the musical genre, LoPiccolo admits that Guitar Hero Rock Band that have experienced a significant decline in this sense, but that the same is not attributable to a decrease in "global" interest to the general .
