Stolen over twenty million sites account SOE games like Everquest 2, Planetside and others, all linked to Sony Online Entertainment, are currently "under maintenance". The site says the SOE online services for the securities referred to above have been temporarily shut down to cope with the well-known problems of network security, and they'll be back online soon.
The statement also refers to a press release to be published today to provide details of the transaction. Update Unfortunately the reasons for the "blackout" of sites of Sony Online Entertainment are due to a theft of data related to what happened to the PlayStation Network. Reference is made to account for 24.6 million SOE potentially compromised.
Among the stolen data are potentially more than 12 thousand non-US credit card payment and about 10 thousand records belonging to people living in Austria, Germany, Holland and Spain. As soon as we learn more, we'll publish them. Source: GameIndustry
