Ubisoft is launching a new division that will produce films and television shows dedicated to the franchise owned by the publisher. According to Variety, the studio Ubisoft Motion Pictures will be directed by Jean-Julien Baronnet, former CEO of EuropaCorp by Luc Besson. Yet to announce the IP on which the new study will begin to work at Ubisoft, although there is a clue: a few months ago, the publisher had distributed a questionnaire to mention Assassin's Creed and Ghost Recon as a potential franchise film.
In 2007, Ubisoft has set up animation studio Ubisoft Digital Arts for the creation of 3D graphics of the game, mostly to film Avatar, in 2008 the publisher has instead purchased Hybride Technologies, the Montreal studio that deals with special effects.
