The 3.60 firmware restores the safety of PlayStation 3

Talk to an expert in one of the most notorious hackers who have grappled with PlayStation 3, said today that the 3.60 firmware upgrade to restore the security of the Sony console, blocking the current method of hacking and curbing the proliferation of piracy. The hacker in question, Youness Alaoui, better known as "KaKaRoToKS", developed the PSFreedom, an alternative system for the jailbreak of the PS3, and has also developed the PL3 USB drive, capable of breaching the security system console with firmware 3.41 or lower.

According to his analysis, the new update system introduces an ingenious method to block the current methods of hacking. In his view, however, is only a matter of time before even this solution is circumvented. Source: DigitalFoundry
