GTAIV is the second game of the best-selling Grand Theft Auto series of all time, Take-Two announced. The fourth chapter in the series, published in April 2008, has reached 20 million units sold worldwide. The chapter's best-selling series is GTA: San Andreas with 21.5 million copies (up to April 2008).
Until 29 April 2008, the GTA franchise has sold more than 70 million games, with sales of GTA IV Take-Two has exceeded 90 million games sold. The data was released by the publisher at a public lecture in a network. Meanwhile in recent days, rumors have emerged about Grand Theft Auto V, some readily disproved, others do not.
That the publisher is preparing the announcement of the new Grand Theft Auto, already expected by some analysts at E3 last year? Before you think of Grand Theft Auto V, however, Take-Two will focus on LA Noire, Rockstar Games' new game expected in May on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
