According to a particular classification made by Guinness World Records, taking into account the sales of particular device technology in a limited time, the Kinect Microsoft has placed in the first place, thus demonstrating the device that has sold as many units in less time. The popular device has sold 10 million units in the period between November 4, 2010, the day of its debut, and January 3, 2011 - an average of 133.333 units per day.
And the competition? "When we gathered to do some research for this record we took into consideration a huge number of products, then narrowing the field to five contenders," said Gaz Deaves, gaming editor for Guinness World Records to the microphones in our network. In this particular ranking stand the absence of the Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and iPhone, came to "only" 17.000 units sold per day during its launch period.
